By using this website, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Please read it before submitting any personal information, and review it from time to time, as we may update it.

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them (for example, by signing up for our mailing list via the website, through the app, or via any of our other websites including funnels and pages created with third party platforms such as Clickfunnels). You can withdraw this consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us directly. We do not sell your personal data.
By using this website and/or our product(s)/service(s), you consent for us to use your email address for custom audience advertising on platforms including but not limited to Facebook. You can withdraw your consent for us to do so at any time by contacting us.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the website and/or app, remember your preferences, and (where you consent) measure site usage and personalise advertising. When you first visit, you will be shown a cookie banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can also manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect some site functionality. See our [Cookie Policy] for more detail about the specific cookies we use.
Third Parties
We may share your information with service providers who help us run the website (e.g. hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing), under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not control the privacy practices of third-party sites linked from this or any of our website(s).
International Data Transfers
We are based in Australia. If you are located in the EU or UK, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in Australia or other countries outside the EU/UK. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection, such as relying on recognised safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) where required.
Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law (for example, financial records may be retained for tax purposes for the period required by Australian law). When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
Data Security

We store information in a technically and physically secure environment and use SSL encryption to protect data in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so while we take reasonable measures to protect your information, you understand and accept that we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

If GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data and delete your account(s) (see below)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Port your data to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data properly

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@emilygowor.com. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request.

Deleting Your Account and Personal Data (Right to Erasure)

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. To do so, email info@emilygowor.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request,” from the email address associated with your account.
Once we receive your request, we will:

  1. Verify your identity, to protect against fraudulent requests
  2. Begin processing the deletion
  3. Complete removal of your account and personally identifiable information from our active systems within 30 days of receiving your verified request
  4. Send you confirmation (via email) once deletion is complete

Some information may be retained beyond this where we are legally required to (for example, financial records for tax/accounting purposes) or where needed to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements and this retained data will not be used for any other purpose. Residual copies may also take a short additional time to clear from encrypted backup systems.

Australian Privacy Principles

We are based in Australia, and where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) apply to us, we aim to handle your personal information consistently with them. This includes:

  • Collecting only the personal information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy
  • Taking reasonable steps to notify you of what we collect and why at or before the time of collection
  • Not using or disclosing your information for a purpose other than what it was collected for, without your consent
  • Taking reasonable steps to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date, and to correct it on request
  • Disclosing personal information to overseas recipients as described in the “International Data Transfers” section above
  • Taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure

If you wish to access or correct the personal information we hold about you or make a complaint about how we have handled it, contact us at info@emilygowor.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Marketing emails sent to Australian users also comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth): we only send commercial electronic messages with your consent, they identify us as the sender, and each message includes a functioning unsubscribe option.

*Note: the Privacy Act’s small business exemption may mean that these obligations don’t strictly apply to us at our current size and turnover. We are choosing to follow these practices regardless, given the international nature of our user and customer base.

Users in Other Countries (New Zealand, Asia, USA, and Elsewhere)

We have users and customers around the world, including in New Zealand, across Asia, and in the United States. We aim to handle everyone’s personal information consistently with the practices set out in this policy, which are built around the standards of the GDPR, one of the most comprehensive privacy frameworks globally, and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We have not tailored separate clauses for every country’s specific privacy law (such as New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 or individual United States of America state laws). If you are located in a jurisdiction with its own data protection law and have questions about how it applies to your use of this website, please contact us at info@emilygowor.com and we will do our best to assist.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Revised” date at the top of this page, and if/where required by law, we will notify you directly.
